DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS= I have owned this ZR-1for 12 years. It certainly has been a lot of fun! The highlights include driving in the Big Bend Open Road Race (www.bborr.com) in 2002 and attending The Gathering in 2001. As much as I hate to, it's time to sell the ZR-1. It is a 1990 ZR-1 with red interior and red exterior. I have both the red and plexiglass tops complete with cover for the unused top. The previous owner also had a plastic front end protector which I have never used. Over the years I have made some modifications which include: 4.10 gear (this thing gets up and goes!!) Aftermarket chip, I still have the original Air conditioner has been modified to meet current EPA standards Ceramic coated Watson headers Corsa exhaust Tinted Windows Alarm Repairs over the years have included: Stereo speakers replaced Headlight assemblies changed from gel to plastic bushings Clutch rebuilt with new master and slave cylinders (lifetime NAPA warranty) Brake booster replaced New brake master cylinder (lifetime NAPA warranty) K&N air filter Plastic gear inside antenna replaced Some areas that may need some attention: Seat bladders don't work. Right seat electric adjustment doesn't work LTPWS sensors have been removed. I have 3 of the 4 Instrument cluster indicates high oil pressure and RPM I put inexpensive catalytic converters on when Montgomery County Texas changed their emissions requirements. I hate to give this car up! I've had a lot of fun with it over the years but it's time to move on.

DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS= This is a car that we have had in the family for 20 years. My father bought it on MSO from Roger's Corvette Center in Maitland, Florida on April 24th 1992. The Corvette, like many ZR-1's, was still a "new car" at the time and had never been titled. It had 2,365 miles on it when it was dropped off by flatbed in Pasadena, Florida behind my Dad's office. I remember that it was so exciting to have a ZR-1 coming that I couldn't sleep the night before. My Dad added a 1965 L79 327/350 roadster to be "pals" with the ZR-1 soon after. My Dad and I spent many afternoons driving and showing these Vettes, and it was with these great red cars that I learned the importance of serial numbers, date codes, and how to prep a car to win a trophy. My Dad treasured the car and drive it sparingly. It has never seen the rain and, like many ZR-1's, it's been polished more than it's been driven. But, fortunately, it was driven regularly and enough to stay mechanically sound and work well. My Dad enjoyed it on sunny days and was proud of the car until his death in 2009. I returned to Florida shortly before my Dad passed and I inherited the ZR-1. Over time, however, the Corvette and I had grown apart. I had also inherited my Dad's automotive genes, but I directed them more towards Italian and German imports. I regularly show and judge cars at concours events, but I do not think I am going to get into NCRS showing or judging in the future. And I think that is the kind of owner this Vette deserves. This is a 100% original car. From the paint finish to the interior down to the specific LT-5 ignition wires. Even the stickers on the wheels that explain the low tire-pressure warning system are at least partially intact on all four wheels. It has both available ZR-1 options (glass roof and electronic A/C), and the smoked glass roof has *never* been on the car. It is protected in a soft bag. The carpets and factory floor mats have been protected with additional extra floor mats since 1992. The tires have been replaced due to dry rot on the originals, but I believe I have to originals in storage. I will verify that if a buyer wants the original tires. You will see in the listing that the details of the car are 100% time capsule intact and the underside is tidy and clean. This is a true "Survivor." Maintained, driven carefully and sparingly, and with a pure clean ownership history. Many cars sold as "Survivors" are either stationary objects that won't make it to the gas station or cars used way too much and never maintained. This is the real deal. This ZR-1 is Unique: it is a no-stories 1-family example. An untouched but well-maintained Buy-and-Hold for the C4 enthusiast. Buy it and take it to Bloomington for a Survivor Certificate this Summer - it wouldn't take much to go for Bloomington Gold. Unlike most ZR-1's, this car has no stories. We bought it in on MSO 1992, and we've kept it for 20 years. No multiple owners, no upgrades, no modifications, no trail of titles. The Vette comes with two 3" binders of records dating back to 1992 including insurance cards, registration documents, as well as several magazine articles on the ZR-1 Corvette. The most recent work is a $1316.81 receipt for service I performed in October 2010. There are no gaps in the service history of this fastidiously-maintained ZR-1 Corvette. As a concours entrant and judge, I have some nit-picks with the car. Most of these are pictured in the listing, I can mail pics for specific questions: •The lower spoiler is 9/10 perfect. You will see in the picture it is a little rough on the lower surface but completely intact. •There are two spots on the 100% original finish that have defects associated with age: (1) 1/2" wear spot on the left front panel just ahead of the gills and (2) a 1/2" mark where the driver's door rubs against the hood when the door opens. Both are photographed, and both are part of the build nature of this untouched C4. •Corrosion on the engine finish at the back of the intake plenum. This is very common an ZR-1 engines and can be left honest or touched-up. •Very mild corrosion on the right rear wheel. No wheels have any curb rash and the aforementioned low tire-pressure stickers are intact. •Extremely minor scratch on the passenger seatback. •Driver's seat electronic control is missing one tiny trim piece. •Clutch pedal is missing rubber. But look at the other two pedals: almost no wear at all. •The door handles are mildly whitened/discolored. This is common on all C4's. These very mild shortcomings are easily bettered by the overall quality and unbroken history of this car. If you want an ZR-1 to build into a Corvette collection, or if you want to fulfill your 4-cam, Lotus-engineered, 32-valve Corvette dreams of 1990, don't buy an unknown at an auction or a car form a dealer who can't tell you where it was in 1995. This is the most honest ZR-1 you will find anywhere near this price. History cannot be duplicated, restored, or purchased later, and this Corvette has that most valuable piece built into it. That's also why I am having a hard time selling it, so please contact me if you feel you can give this special car a good home. Extras with this car include: •Original Window Sticker •Original ZR-1 and Corvette Brochures •The two 3" binders loaded with records since 1992 •Extra floor mats (to protect factory floor mats) case for the smoked glass roof Email me for any extra photos or information you would like. It has come to my attention that the AutoCheck/CarFax is showing a problem with the odometer. It looks like there was a clerical error at the Florida DMV in the 1990's showing mileage much greater than the actual mileage. I stand by the low actual mileage of the car and it is substantiated by the condition and unbroken service history.

DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS= LINGENFELTER ZR-1 It is very rare that these come up for sale so if you have ever wanted one this is your chance! This car is in magnificent condition and has won many Corvette show awards. It has 16,352 original miles and spent most of it's life in a collection. I purchased the car about two years ago and have replaced the Bose radio and speakers with a touch screen making sure that all the parts used fit into the original spaces so it could be put back and I have kept all the original parts. The car only has the plexiglas top as it blends in so well with black car. It has some beautiful blue painted pin stripping that was done by hand and was kept to a minimum.....very classy and understated. The interior is black and is absolutely spotless, looks brand new, really nothing else to say there. I replaced the tires with Kumho Ecsta XS which I am really happy with, very grippy once they warm up and look great. Now for the engine, other than the Lingenfelter modifications it is stock. The Lingenfelter mods cost almost $17,000 over the sticker price at the time so it was not a very common upgrade. The package done was their 475hp version which keeps it at the original cubic inches, it also passed smog on the first shot no problem. The car runs perfectly and I have never had any mechanical issues with it. The car is #316 of the first year it was made which is very early in the production run and while there is no way to confirm it I would be very surprised if there was a Lingenfelter upgrade done on an earlier car which of course would mean this is the first one. Car and Driver did a road test of a 1990 ZR-1 with the same Lingenfelter package and here are the numbers they got: Top Speed : 191 0-60 : 4.1 ¼ Mile : 12.3 All on street tires, pump gas, no blower and passes smog…..amazing! DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS= This is a torch red with tan interior ZR-1 corvette in perfect condition. It has been kept in a climate controlled garage in Ca. since new. It's never been driven hard or in any kind of adverse weather conditions. There have been some reversible performance upgrades done as well as a cosmetic and luxury upgrade or two that can be easily reversed as well. All the upgrades were installed drilling no holes or altering any factory mounts in any way as everything was either direct plug in or direct bolt on. The factory parts were stored in the same climate controlled garage as the car. The original Goodyears are being sold just installed back on the car with only about 8000 miles on them. They have not had the weight of a car on them and were stored plastic wrapped in the same climate controlled garage as the car and parts, so are in like new condition. The performance upgrades:  A street/strip performance chip that eliminated the 1 to 4 computer controlled economy shift, it also lowered the operating temperature of the engine. A three inch polished stainless steal exhaust with oversized rectangular "ZR1 looking" ports. Supposedly the total HP of the car was increased to about 415 HP. The cosmetic upgrades: A fully functional factory looking high rise hood was installed and the corvette logos and badges put on to complete the factory look, the hood lowers the engine compartment heat very well.  The original 1990 ZR-1 wheels and center caps are chrome plated with the corvette logos being replaced on the center caps, the chrome shop told me these would be the only set of chromed 1990 wheels as chrome shops were not chroming these types of wheels and that not many people chromed the center caps because of the logo is destroyed during the process (They turned out perfect! Check the pics. I have never seen another set of 1990 wheels chromed or another set of chromed centers with the logos on them). The luxury upgrades: A parrot hands free Bluetooth cell phone system that works through the factory speakers and syncs with any cell phone, a factory looking cell phone bracket that becomes the side of the console and looks like part of the console and can be removed easily leaving no marks by snapping off.

DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS= After enjoying this wonderful car for a number of years, we have decided to downsize.  Since I'm sure most that read this ad are familiar with ZR-1's, here are the things that have been done.  It has nearly new Goodyear Eagle tires, RC injectors (and while I was under the plenum I also put in a new starter, coil packs and vacuum system), and all Bose amps have been redone.  The brakes and rotors are new (old rotors were saved) and it has the correct plastic headlamps.  It is complete with the owners box, plastic steering wheel cover, engine shipping plug, service manuals, etc.  It has two tops with the plastic one in a storage bag as seen in the pictures.  The windshield is a new Kurt White with the correct color and large cutout.  There are some new parts included such as outer window door seals, a halo weatherstrip and side rail speaker cover carpet that I may (or may not) have a chance to install.  In any event, they go with the car as does a cover.  The original wheels were refinished a few years ago and a serpentine belt, tensioner pulley and new plugs were just installed.  Optima battery. Wheel sensors are included although not installed as I didn't want to take a chance of having them damaged by a tire shop.  It is a VERY nice original car with no issues.

This car is rare and a lot of fun. Repairs/Restoration/Known Issues: • If you check ZR1 sources on the net, you will find data about common issues. This car has had many repaired already, or based on the level of care have not been a problem. Here is a list of common ZR1 issues, and this vehicle's history with those issues completed in the past 2,000 miles: o Bad Prom 90-91: New Haibeck prom installed (original prom to go with car) o Overheating & Blown Radiator: Entire cooling system removed, checked, flushed, and reinstalled. "Bottom Fed" area cleaned near A/C condenser. New thermostat. New Coolant Surge tank. System regularly flushed since. Car runs much cooler. o Poor Radio Reception, CD Skip, & malfunctioning Bose amps in speakers: Radio recall repair completed by Haibeck; Radio/CD/Tuner Amp & speaker amps repaired/rebuilt. o Clutch issues: Master and slave cylinders replaced. o Windshield delamniation: There is about a 1 inch "halo" around the frame edge of the windshield, and no other places! The limited amount is barely noticeable and has no impact on visibility. o Noisy transmission: Usually caused by faulty pilot bushing. Replaced with Zr1 correct bushing. o Oil leaking from oil pan: Corrected and resealed properly. o Other Oil leak issues: New sender unit and other gaskets; cooler lines repaired. o 3rd brake light not working: Dual switch repaired. o Engine stains: Entire engine covers and manifolds were expertly removed and powder coated by Haibeck to match original color. Lettering made black. Stainless steel hex bolts instead of black. (Originals to go with car) See photos. Stock appearance. o Intermittent Starting: Caused by "flat spot"/water in V near starter. Starter replaced. Water drain cleared. o Intermittent hot idle: Caused by MAP hose issue. MAP hose replaced. o Inflatable Seat Bladders: Both work great! o Loss of performance under hard acceleration: Caused by air duct collapsing like a straw upon load. Haibeck support added to correct. o Low tire pressure warning sensors: The light comes on. I know one of the sensors is bad for sure. I never replaced it as it's not a key thing, I just check the air with a gauge regularly. o Injectors: Known to have issues with modern gas. ALL replaced with RC injectors by Haibeck as improvement over stock. • Oil system, Coolant system & Differential drained and flushed regularly. • On-Board battery smart trickle charger for easier storage • New Interstate Battery 4/2012 • Front nose and solid top repainted to match original paint to fix chips over time. Small touch up to Passenger side mid-fender strip (approximately 1"). Otherwise, 90% all original paint! • LTPWS sensor needs replacing in one wheel (believed). Dash light comes on, no impact on driving. • Common C4 issue on leather bolster. Dye needed on driver side seat. Seats otherwise perfect. • There is a SMALL chip in the nose in front of the driver side headlight. I have taken a picture with the ignition key to give you an idea of its size. • I just took the car out of storage, started right up, runs great! Could use an oil change. • No other known issues or problems apparent.

DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS=  1991 ZR-1 Corvette with 79,020 original miles. A brand new (not rebuilt) factory 1995 replacement LT5 engine was installed just over 1,000 miles ago. The engine was professionally installed by Abel Chevrolet last year and has a one year dealership warranty, which is still in effect until March 2012. Great care has been ten to correctly break in this factory LT5 motor according to Chevrolet guidelines. Horsepower has been increased to 440 with the installation of an aftermarket chip.  With these improvements, this ZR-1 runs and drives like brand new!   Coil over magnetic shocks makes this ZR-1 a racers dream, (installed previously to my purchasing the vehicle.)  Additional improvements include, a new steering box, battery, both solid and see thru tops. Exterior black paint is in good condition with very nice silver metal flake ghost flames running down the center of the hood enhance the vehicle giving it that subtle custom touch.  Aftermarket wood interior trim was added to compliments the original factory black interior. This car is a head turner, receiving compliments wherever I go. In addition, it recently garnered a 2nd place finish at a local car show.   I have owned this ZR-1 for just under two years. I purchased it from a fellow Corvette Club member as a project car. The original engine, had some problems that could not be repaired to my standards, thus I made the decision to have the new motor installed. This ZR-1 is great looking piece of history that I have enjoyed driving tremendously. I have newer 50th Anniversary Corvette and frankly I don’t need 2 corvettes. Let my loss be your gain.

Rebuilt stock transmission due to reverse gear bearing failure, parts acquired from zr-1 doc in Arizona include new main shaft, all new gear bearings, shims and new 1st and reverse gear. The car is in beautiful shape with 65,000 km's. Tires are in great shape with lots of tread, interior is flawless. Unfortunately I did not keep the stock rims when I upgraded to the 5 spoke. Due to the car having such low miles, last year about 2000 km's ago... I had troubles starting it. The Chevrolet dealership where all mechanical work has been done diagnosed the problem and we found 3 leaking injectors. All 16 fuel injectors were replaced with Accel steel body 21 lb/hr injectors, fuel rail and intake manifold gaskets were also changed at that time. She is a great driver, runs and sounds great. DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS=  Showroom condition #365 of #502 1992 Red ZR-1. Black interior. Always garaged. I have owned this car for the last 10yrs. I am the 3rd owner. Original owner was killed in a car wreck. It was never used as a daily driver. Mostly driven or trailer to car shows. It has won Best In Show, Best Interior, Judges Choice at an all corvette show that had 120 + corvettes in the show. I also have 50 plus first place trophies and plaques from car shows. Just as clean underneath as on top. I did put this car up for sale last year thinking that I wanted a Z06 driver. I have decided against that due to a couple of things. I love driving the ZR-1plus I had a very good friend of mine pass away so my plan is to sell my 92 ZR-1 and buy his Yellow 95 ZR-1. I have recently sent the ecm to Tom Henry Chevrolet so they could send it back to GM for a rebuild. It now runs great. Never wrecked. I have all original documentation including the original window sticker. I have replaced the windshield with a standard windshield due to delamination of the original windshield. I also had it repainted in 2005 due to some windstorm damage at a car show. The car was taken apart for repaint. It has only been driven less than 1,000 miles since the paint job. It definitely looks better than factory paint.   It is all original except corsa exhaust, Mark Haibeck chip. I have both tops. I have a set of service manuals, a car cover. I can make arrangements for delivery. DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS= Tinted {legal in Tennessee}, Borla, an aftermkt roof & a chip for the elimination of the 1st to fourth shift (whose, I don't know...both already in place when I bought the car) , GSD3's w/ Amolds on the car(Powder Coated by Jeff Flint) but original wheels w/ OEM GSC's available if you prefer, a pizza box & some records. Little delamination. Pretty much just a standard 93 ZR-1 driver. I have enjoyed the car but it has been driven so there are some blemishes. Three small scratches over passenger front tire & a dime sized flake on the edge of the roof come to mind. More pictures available if you want to get serious. Interior is good but there is an inch and a half long place in the passenger seat where the stitching has come loose. If it has needed maintenance while I owned it, it has been done at Jim Van Dorn's place in Bowling Green. The previous owner used Cooper Corvette. Price is for the car, ALONE.........like most ZR-1 people...I have accumulated some various extras, larger swaybar, factory manuals, extras wheels/tires, plug wires, various filters, DVD's, etc. .....I hope this is not my last ZR-1 so I have not included those in the price, if you desire the extras, I am willing to price it as well but there is some stuff that is possibly unneeded so it seems best to negotiate those extras once the car is picked up.

DESCRIPTION/OPTIONS= Here I have a cherry 1994, red Corvette, ZR-1 with only 30,000 original miles on her. This car is No. 121 out of the 448 that were built. The car truly is a beast, way ahead of its time. Mercury Marine built the 4 cam 32 valve engine by hand in May 1993. The engine has a second key for half the power, easily accessible even while driving. I believe she is spitting out around 400 horsepower to the rear, and still runs brand new. We had an oil change done right before we passed the 30,000 mile mark with full synthetic Mobil 1 oil. Everything on this car is factory except for a FlowMaster cat-back exhaust. Brand new tires also put on in September 2010. We have the roof package which includes a removable red top, and an extra tinted see-through top, that is really nice. We purchased the vehicle from Jerry Beaton's Auto's in September 2010, and we have kept it garaged more than we have got it out since Day 1. Only one previous owner and the word was that he did the same. She only had about 26,000 miles when we got the title, and we had the oil changed then, too. This car has no problems whatsoever, and other than a little dirt is a 10/10!!! If you run Blue Book on this car, you will see that it is worth about $37,600 right now and going to do nothing but increase in value. Definitely a head turner, you will fall in love with this car the minute you see it.
